Requisition 12943 - Audiologist
Reporting to the Audiology Management Coordinator provides differential diagnosis of auditory function for clients, birth to 21 years of age. Coordinates therapeutic and educational interventions for clients.
Position Requirements:Education: Masters degree or AuD in Audiology
Experience: Previous proven experience in pediatric Audiology (minimum 6 months, 2 - 3 years preferred). Hands on experience with electrophysiological techniques.
Required certification/Licensure: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-A) from ASHA, and the California State Audiology License.
Knowledge: . Thorough knowledge of pediatric Audiology and child development issues.
Skills/Abilities: Skilled in the accurate assessment of auditory function of infants, preschoolers and difficult to test children. Skilled in counseling families. Flexible and sensitive to people and situations. Effective verbal and written skills. Basic proficiency with PC's and Dictaphone.
Physical Requirements: In good physical condition to meet the demand of a heavy caseload. Sit: Up to 6 hours/day. Stand/Walk: Up to 6 hours. Bend/Stoop: Up to 3 hours. Reach: Up to 6 hours. Rep Use of UE/Grasp: Up to 6 hours. Lift/Push/Pull: 25 lbs, over 25lbs with assistance or equipment. This job requires the ability to hear alarms, clients and/or instruction. US News & World Reports Ranks UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals Among Nation's Best
UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals, with campuses in San Francisco and Oakland, rank among the country’s best in nine specialties, and the Best in Bay Area in 6 specialties, according to U.S. News & World Report’s survey of 187 pediatric hospitals nationwide.
The two hospitals, which affiliated in January 201...4, rank best in the Bay Area in cancer, diabetes and endocrinology, gastroenterology and GI surgery, neonatology, neurology and neurosurgery, and orthopedics, according to the magazine, which released the results of its report on June 27, 2017. The 2017-18 results mark the 11th year of the pediatric rankings report, which serve as a guide of hospitals that excel in treating the sickest children.
