Director Performance Improvement works collaboratively with leadership, management, and front line staff to improve quality of care, patient outcomes and reduce harm. Advances the quality culture through education and improvement efforts using best practices and efficient and effective processes. Organizes, directs, and facilitates performance improvement activities organization-wide, providing expertise in improvement science and methods to achieve optimal outcomes.
At least 7 years of progressive experience, with at least 2 in a leadership role.
Hospital background and related QI experience preferred to ensure success in this role
Prior personnel and budget management required.
Prior leadership responsibility with a track record of implementing change.
Knowledge of quality improvement science methods including model for improvement.
Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality desirable.
Lean training desirable
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or enrollment in master’s program preferred. Health related field
