The Joseph M Sanzari Children’s Hospital, part of Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Section Chief to provide clinical and administrative leadership for the Pediatric Emergency Department, caring for infants, children and adolescents up to 22 years of age. Working collaboratively with the Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics, the Section Chief will plan for short and long range growth of Pediatric Emergency Services at HUMC and throughout the network. Clinical and administrative responsibilities will include providing advice and guidance to Physicians, financial budgeting/planning for the department, participating in clinical research and providing educational opportunities for the provider and nursing staff of the Pediatric ED in an ongoing manner.
The ideal candidate will be Board Certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Emergency Medicine, possess a M.D. Degree from a recognized medical school and have a current NJ medical license. Eligibility for faculty appointment at a New Jersey Medical School and 5+ years administrative experience in a clinical setting preferred.
