Mental Health America (MHA) is looking for an Operations and Program Associate for its office in Alexandria, VA. This position would report to the Chief of Staff. This position is ideal for an organized candidate who enjoys task-oriented work in a casual and relaxed environment. While there are opportunities to contribute to MHA’s other work, this function is heavily administrative. MHA believes we must address mental illness before Stage 4. Our work is driven by our commitment to promote mental health as a critical part of overall wellness, including prevention services for all, early identification and intervention for those at risk, integrated care, services, and supports for those who need it, with recovery as the goal.

Process and mail thank you letters and applications for charitable registrations, workplace giving, and other fundraising initiatives
Enter constituent data into Salesforce and marketing databases
Maintain affiliate member records in SalesForce
Provide general office support for Affiliate Services
Maintain general email and voicemail boxes, addressing constituents’ needs as appropriate
Setting agendas and taking minutes for meetings
Processing check deposits, invoices, and other bookkeeping functions
Conducting research as needed on potential partners, donors, or other initiatives
Other duties as assigned

At least a 2-year degree or comparable military/civil service
