Hackensack Meridian Health, in partnership with Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, is seeking a fellowship trained, BC/BE Palliative Care Physician. The successful candidate will be providing primarily outpatient palliative care to patients at both Hackensack Meridian Health Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank, NJ, and the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Middletown, NJ. This is a unique opportunity to help build the first outpatient palliative care program with both Memorial Sloan Kettering and Hackensack Meridian Health in New Jersey.
Additional Key Responsibilities:
Providing palliative care consultation services
Consulting with the primary physician and the Interdisciplinary Team to establish a written plan of care
Facilitating access to appropriate supportive care services.
Partnering with Medical Director to provide continuing education to staff, residents, and other health care providers
Participating in clinical research and future publications
Assisting in quality and performance improvement activities.
Adhering to the practice of confidentiality regarding patients, families, staff, and the organization
Qualified candidate must be BC/BE in Hospice/Palliative Medicine with experience beyond board certification. NJ Medical license in good standing is required. Superior organizational, communication and leadership skills will be expected. Prior experience working as part of an interdisciplinary team preferred.
