Job Title: Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Epidemiologist III
The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control, the state's steward of public health and environmental protection, is actively recruiting for a MCH Epidemiologist III that will supervise a team of MCH epidemiologists within a division of epidemiologists from diverse areas of the agency. Help us use MCH data to drive health improvement! The position requires a Master's degree in Public Health in epidemiology, biostatistics or a closely related field, and at least five years of MCH working experience. Job Description Highlights: This position provides visionary leadership, direction, oversight and expertise to facilitate activities related to complex data collection, analysis, interpretation and the reporting/dissemination of MCH data. Join a team of informatics, data visualization, health economics, and community and communication specialists to help build a new and novel bureau created to assist with public health data-driven decisions.
Master's degree in epidemiology, biostatistics or a closely related field, and at least five years of supervisory experience. An M.D. or doctoral degree in epidemiology, or advanced training in applied epidemiology, such as the Public Health Prevention Specialist Program at CDC may substitute for the educational requirement.
