The Palliative Medicine program and the Wake Forest University School of Medicine are recruiting full-time researchers and clinician-educators at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. Palliative Medicine is part of one of the leading research and teaching programs in the Nation, Wake Forest Geriatrics and the Sticht Center for Successful Aging and Alzheimer’s Prevention.
Faculty interested in developing a career as a clinician-scientist or clinician-educator, those desiring to lead research on innovative models of care and implementation of palliative care or Advance Care Planning are encouraged to apply.
The position may include substantial protected time for teaching and related Research and opportunity exists for collaboration with our Claude D. Pepper Older Americans Independence Center and Alzheimer’s Disease Core Center, each NIA-funded centers. Wake Forest is also home to a top-ranked NextGen Accountable Care Organization.

Skilled, effective clinician and teacher with a disposition that attracts students and trainees into the field of palliative medicine
Fellowship trained, board-certified/board-eligible in palliative medicine and internal medicine or family medicine
Interested in either research or education related to the clinical practice of palliative medicine
Additional Salary Information: Salary and rank commensurate with experience.
