We also seek to prepare and support primary care pediatricians in the delivery of health care innovations and in the conduct of research that leverages clinical and community partnerships. Faculty in the Division receive research funding from NIH, PCORI, CDC, Maternal Child Health Bureau, foundations, and private donors.
- Excellence in prevention and reduction of the burden of chronic disease, including obesity, among children;
- Reduction and elimination of disparities in children’s health and healthcare; and
- Improving the health of populations across the lifecourse through innovations in research, patient care, education, and community advocacy.
Clinician-researchers and non-clinician doctoral-level researchers are invited to apply. The Division seeks candidates with expertise in patient-centered outcomes research, community-based research, health services research, clinical trials, epidemiology, or related fields, to build independent research programs across a range of priority areas including maternal-child health, substance use, pediatric asthma, sleep, and health disparities. Successful applicants will generally have a track record of federal funding or plans to seek such funding, a record of high quality peer-reviewed publications, and the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary research team. We seek to attract an active and diverse faculty. Academic rank at Harvard Medical School (Instructor, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor) and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Part-time clinical practice opportunities are possible in general pediatrics as are joint appointments across other Harvard institutions.
