Position Summary/Scope of Practice: Under the supervision of the Sterile Processing Manager/Director, the Sterile Processing Technician prepares and reprocesses all surgical instruments of the Operating Room, Emergency Department, and Nursing Units. Stores and issues sterile and other medical supplies, and provides special equipment to all hospital departments in compliance with hospital and regulatory agency standards.
80 hours per pay-period, some weekend shifts.
High School graduate or equivalent.
Certified Central Service Technician or previous experience in Central Sterilization procedures to include Operating Room instrumentation.
