Responsible for creating, implementing and measuring the success of a comprehensive marketing, communications and public relations program that will enhance each facility’s image and position within the marketplace.
Facilitates internal and external communications and all marketing, communications and public relations activities and materials.
Responsible for editorial direction, design, production and distribution of all publications.
Coordinates media interest in each facility and ensures regular contact with target media and appropriate responses to media requests.
Acts as the facility’s representative with the media.
Coordinates the appearance of all print and electronic materials such as letterhead, use of logo, brochures, etc.
Develops, coordinates and oversees programs, technical assistance and resource materials for marketing, communications and public relations.
Regularly conducts relevant market research and coordinates and oversees this activity. Monitors trends.
Leads projects as assigned, such as cause-related marketing and special events.
Develops short- and long-term plans and budgets for the marketing/ communications/public relations program and its activities, monitors progress, assures adherence and evaluates performance.
Keeps informed of developments in the fields of marketing, communications and public relations, and the healthcare industry. Uses this information to help the organization operate with initiative and innovation.
Develops and coordinates means to seek regular input from each facilities key constituencies regarding the quality of programs and services.
Acts as an internal consultant to bring attention and solutions to institutional priorities.
Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in the design and execution of marketing, communications and public relations activities.
Strong creative, strategic, analytical, organizational and personal sales skills.
Experience developing and managing budgets.
Demonstrated successful experience writing press releases, making presentations and negotiating with media.
Experience overseeing the design and production of print materials and publications.
Computer literacy in word processing, data base management and page layout.
Commitment to working with shared leadership and in cross-functional teams.
Strong oral and written communications skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in marketing, communications or public relations with demonstrated success, preferably in Healthcare Industry.
Will require regular travel between KershawHealth (Camden, SC) and Carolina Pines Medical Center (Hartsville, SC).
