The Contract Medical Information Scientist will work as part of the Medical Information team and provide up-to-date, accurate and balanced information on products to internal and external customers. This role will a require an experienced Medical Information professional to undertake a key role in the Global Medical Affairs group to support both licensed and developmental products at this exciting time of growth for the company.
Research and respond to medical information related enquiries received via phone, email or mail
Provide accurate and timely Medical Information responses to consumers, internal partners, health care professionals, and other members of the public
Develop a strong clinical understanding of Greenwich products and their associated disease states
Develop, maintain, and/or review medical information materials including standard response documents, FAQs, formulary dossiers, and slide decks in support of customer and business needs
Perform literature searches
Identify and collect appropriate information for AE /product complaints report submission to Pharmacovigilance/Quality Operations as required
Appropriately document all Medical Information inquiries within Medical Information database
Staff medical information booths at medical and scientific meetings as needed
Maintain a working knowledge of legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements as it relates to Medical Information in the biopharmaceutical industry
Execute additional tasks to meet departmental project-related or developmental/change objectives
Advanced degree in a science/health-related field– PhD, PharmD or Advanced Nursing degree
Ability to converse on lay-person level with compassion and empathy
Medical Information/pharmaceutical experience preferred (2-5y)
Competency with scientific/medical terminology; good IT skills; impeccable attention to detail; report writing experience and good communication skills
Develops and maintains positive working relationships with others
DIA certification in Medical Communications is a plus
Best practices Medical Information expert
Product launch experience is beneficial
Neurology, Epilepsy or rare disease experience preferred
