The person in this position will be responsible to performing a variety of activities involving preparation of medical record documents of Discharged patient, Outpatients, Observation, Emergency Department, and Ambulatory Surgery for electronic chart processing to completion and scanning using an electronic system to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
High School Diploma. Medical Terminology or Graduate of a Health Information Technology program a plus.
2-3 years experience in Health Information Management or equivalent experience , of acute care facility, or two years college training in office related courses.
Ability to perform the essential functions of this position, with or without reasonable accommodation and without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of self or others. Ability to effectively communicate with patients and provide competent care as appropriate to the ages of patients served by this position.
