POSITION SUMMARY: The Intake Worker/Coord is responsible for screening the calls coming into the Pavilion Access Line. They provide patients and other referral sources information and instruction on the assessment and admission process. They are responsible for the secretarial, clerical and receptionist functions related to the duties of the Pavilion Intake and Assessment Department. This position is also responsible for providing support to the other team members of the behavioral health services and their secretaries in collaborative effort and is responsible for special projects and other assignments as directed. Answers the Access Line at the Pavilion and provides information and instruction to persons needing assessment or admission to the Pavilion. Collects information from patient and other sources and screens calls for appropriateness for assessment. Communicates appropriate referral options to patient and /or family about services available in the Panhandle Area.
