Our Crisis Intervention Services team collaborate with mental health professionals and community partners to achieve a positive outcome for the person in crisis. Our services advocate for a positive resolution and assist all individuals through the crisis event.
We have an immediate Per Diem opening for a CRISIS COUNSELOR II to join our DuBois based Crisis Intervention Services Team.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the administrative supervision of the program Coordinator the Crisis Counselor; triage and follow up of telephone/mobile mental health crisis intervention, emergency services and walk in assessments. Crisis Counselors engage individuals in verbal de-escalation, crisis resolution, suicide risk assessment and prevention, referral collaboration and supportive counseling. Counselors are expected to be professional, empathetic, assertive and detail-oriented.
