Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following tasks: completing thorough intake assessments via video software for patients in emergency rooms, determining appropriate levels of care with MDs, verifying insurance benefits, completing insurance prior-authorization requests, establishing and maintaining positive relationships with referral sources, entering all intake and admission data into a hospital computer database, handling intake calls, completing follow-up tasks pending resolution and ensuring treatment and clinical service recommendations are based upon patient needs. Responsible for maintaining positive relationships with staff from other departments to foster a team environment. This is a work-from-home position. Computer equipment and software provided. Must be able to come onsite if required.
