Coastal Behavioral Health is a 50-bed privately owned and operated adult acute psychiatric hospital located in Savannah, GA. This inpatient hospital is designed to assist adults who appear to be at risk of harming themselves or someone else. In essence, it serves as a "psychiatric emergency room", whereby individuals in mental or emotional crisis can be provided with specialized treatment in a safe and secure environment. The hospital offers a variety of programs designed to treat the needs of each individual. Skilled mental health professionals oversee the treatment planning process from admission to discharge. The programs at Coastal Behavioral Health are: Horizons - This program is created to help those higher functioning patients with psychiatric problems and substance abuse. Our individualized treatment plans allow us to work with each patient on the issues that make it difficult for them to function in their day-to-day lives. New Beginnings - This program is reserved for those patients who need treatment in a more intensive or structured setting. Some may be experiencing an actively psychotic episode or need additional support from our treatment team. As soon as the patient has been medically stabilized, he or she will be transitioned to one of our other programs. Transitions - This unit is for the treatment of the elderly or patients with age-related diagnoses. These patients can have multiple health concerns, therefore we will work closely with their personal physicians as we determine their individual course of treatment. Coastal Behavioral Health is currently seeking qualified professionals for the following position: MHT (Mental Health Tech) - Participates in the development and implementation of patients' treatment plan by providing care and close supervision of facility patients and documenting behavior, by developing positive relationships with clients and co-workers and following facility policies and procedures, by implementing treatment plans and providing crisis intervention as necessary.
