Reports to the Pharmacy Manager.Is responsible for supervising all pharmacy technician personnel. Serves as a trainer and mentor for other pharmacy technicians and students. Enforces department policies and procedures as related to technician responsibilities. Assures efficient technician workflow and optimal automation operations. Oversees all technician responsibilities. Assists in the development and revision of departmental policies and procedures. Assists in interviewing, hiring and evaluating pharmacy technicians. Assures compliance with pharmacy quality and performance improvement processes. Assures compliance with all regulatory standards. Works directly under the direct supervision of a Florida licensed pharmacist.
Position Qualification: (Training, Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities)
Must be at least 18 years of age
High School diploma or GED or equivalent training required
Three (3) years of hospital pharmacy experience required
IV experience required
Experience with chemotherapy preparations preferred
Previous supervisory experience preferred
Interpersonal and leadership skills required
Good organizational skills, verbal and written communication skills, and basic computer skills required
Florida Registered Pharmacy Technician licensure
Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT)
Ability to effectively communicate (verbally and in writing) in English
Ability to write legibly
