Retirement Housing Foundation has an immediate opening for a Vice President of HealthcareOperations (VPHO), at our corporate office in Long Beach, CA. The position provides direct supervision of two Regional Managers, three Regional Nurse Consultants, an Executive Secretary, the National Marketing Director, and one Construction Project Manager. The VPHO is responsible for the market rate/healthcare operations.
Some of the essential functions of the position include:
Ensuring quality of care of residents.
Accountable for the financial performance of all Market Rate/ Healthcare communities.
Oversight of budget preparations for all communities.
Drafts policies and procedures for review and approval.
Ensuring Regulatory compliance with federal and state regulations.
Analyzes financial statements on a monthly basis.
Negotiates Pharmacy, Therapy and Managed Care contracts for the benefit of the communities.
Oversees the ongoing compliance of our Quality Assurance program.
Assists in the development of effective marketing programs in order to maintain high census levels.
Reviews and approves major expenses and capital improvements.
Develops and provides training for field staff.
Provides technical guidance to staff in the areas of Medicare, Medicaid and Medi-Cal.
Assisting with the implementation of PDPM procedures.
This position requires 20% overnight business travel.
The successful candidate will have ten years of supervisory experience in Healthcare Operations, preferably with Skilled Nursing Facilities. Experience with Assisted Living and Independent Living are required. Multi-Level care or CCRC portfolio experience is preferred. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Financial management and strong budgeting skills are required. A bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.
