Carilion Clinic, headquartered in Roanoke, Virginia, is seeking a board certified or board eligible neurologist who is fellowship trained in vascular neurology. Neurocritical care experience is preferred but not required. The physician will work closely with neurosurgeons, neurologist and a highly capable neurointerventional team to serve established multidisciplinary programs associated with the Carilion Clinic Stroke Center. On site team of stroke neurologist, neurosurgeons, neurointerventionalists and rehab physicians offer patients 24/7 lifesaving treatment and is supported by a full time stroke coordinator.

The Neurology department at Carilion Clinic recently started a residency program with 3 residents per year. There are exciting opportunities to expand clinical research including clinical trials and translational as well as basic neuroscience research collaboration with the incredible faculty at the VTCRI as well as the Virginia Tech University in nearby Blacksburg. As a member of the neurology faculty at Carilion Clinic, you will have an appointment at the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine located on the campus. 34 bed Inpatient Rehab unit onsite with 5 dedicated for brain injury patients
Possibility of continued and expanded participation in clinical trials and research in collaboration with Cardiology at Carilion Clinic, with Virginia Tech Carilion Research Institute and Virginia Tech University
