Performs all aspects of various neurodiagnostic testing including but not limited to electroencephalograms, multi modality evoked potentials, evaluations inpatients of varying ages and medical conditions. May be primarily assigned to either neurodiagnostic procedures dependent upon experience, interests and departmental requirements. Testing is conducted in accordance with standards of practice as defined by the American Society of Neurophysiology and the Association of Sleep Disorders Centers. Works independently utilizinga variety of technical instrumentation and decision making in the treatment and handling of the individual patient. Identifies opportunities for continuous improvements of processes and services.
(Training, Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities)
HighSchool graduate or equivalent
Two years clinical experience in EEG, evoked potentials andnerve conduction studies preferred.
Certified or Registered Neurodiagnostic Technologist preferred. Current BLS certification required from the American Heart Association
Ability to effectively communicate in writing and orally with all levels of the organization
