PATIENT CARE TECH MED-SURG PER DIEM NIGHTS

Summary

Under the supervision, and/or direction of the Nursing Director/Clinical Manager, Resource Nurse, or Staff Nurse performs various duties in the treatment and care of patients in accordance with established functions and procedures of the hospital.

Qualifications

Education
High School Diploma or equivalent.

Required licensures/certifications
Certification as a Nursing Assistant with EKG and Phlebotomy certification (Within 30 days of employment) or Patient Care Technician Certification with EKG and Phlebotomy certification (Within 30 days of employment) or Foreign Nurse/Physician with appropriate documentation or
Nursing Student with first semester clinical course completion.
Current BLS/CPR Certification.

Skills and Abilities
Good oral and written communication skills in the English language.

Experience
Knowledge of principles of patient hygiene, comfort, safety measures preferred.
