The Department of Pediatrics at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, seeks a pediatric palliative care physician to join our Critical Care/Palliative Care Division. This is a clinical faculty leadership position offering an academic appointment at MCW commensurate with experience. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: direct patient care as a palliative medicine physician; clinical supervision and interprofessional collaboration with advanced practice providers and other professionals within and across disciplines and teams; program development and quality improvement initiatives; educational initiatives; and research advancing pediatric palliative care. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach and evaluate medical students, residents and fellows. As a member of an academic division at the MCW, there are ample opportunities to initiate and participate in clinical/quality/translational research projects with CHW and the Children’s Research Institute. Eligible candidates should have an MD or equivalent, and be BC/BE in Pediatric Palliative Care.
Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin (CHW) is a 306-bed pediatric hospital that provides comprehensive care for neonates, infants, children, adolescents and adults with congenital disease. CHW has 73 NICU beds, 72 PICU beds (including 24 CICU beds), and 24,000 annual admissions.
