The Administrative Assistant provides clerical and secretarial support to assigned area(s) and acts as a resource for area operations.
Provides coordination of written and verbal communication to support day to day operations.
Answers, screens, and responds to telephone calls, greets and directs visitors, demonstrating excellent customer service.
Reviews and routes inter-departmental and postal service mail.
Updates Intranet as needed.
Provides secretarial support for on-going operations, as well as special projects including word processing; composing and proof reading correspondence; presentation and report development; copies, collates and distributes as required.
Assists in maintaining databases and associated files and records on a regular basis according to established procedures.
Prepares and distributes reports as requested.
Gathers information and prepares summaries as requested.
Schedules/coordinates meetings; appointments; manages calendars for department staff.
Distributes meeting announcement/agendas and materials as needed.
Schedules room, AV, and catering arrangements.
Makes travel arrangements as requested.
Provides technical support for office and visit staff as assigned.

AV and office equipment troubleshooting
Demonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served
Partners with patient care giver in care/decision making.
Communicates in a respective manner.
Ensures a safe, secure environment.
Individualizes plan of care to meet patient needs.
Modifies clinical interventions based on population served.
Provides patient education based on as assessment of learning needs of patient/care giver.
Fulfills all organizational requirements
Completes all required learning relevant to the role
Complies with all relevant laws, regulation and policies
Performs other duties as assigned.
One year of experience in a clerical/office setting
2 year technical school degree or 4 year college degree in business or healthcare-related field.
Courses or workshops in PC software programs and word processing
Three years of administrative assistant or secretarial experience in a clerical/office setting
Additional Requirements (must be obtained or completed within a period of time) :
Knowledge of office software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc...
Ability to quickly adapt to new technology and easily acquire new technical skills
