Pediatrix Medical Group of Florida, part of the Mednax family, is seeking a full-time Neonatologist with a strong academic background to serve as Division Chief at Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital (JDCH; part of the Memorial Healthcare System), which is a U.S. News-ranked children's hospital located in Hollywood, Florida (near Fort Lauderdale).
Memorial Healthcare System (MHS) is the 4th largest public health system in the country and is a quaternary trauma center. MHS received institutional ACGME accreditation in August 2015 and welcomed its first class of pediatric residents in 2018.

Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital opened in 1992 and has grown to be the leading children's hospital in Broward and Palm Beach counties. Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital combines state-of-the-art clinical excellence with a child- and family-friendly environment that emphasizes the healing Power of Play. The Wasie Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is one of only 11 Regional Perinatal Intensive Care Centers (RPICC) in Florida. Care of a full range of complex neonatal and congenital diagnoses
On-site ECMO, therapeutic hypothermia, BPD programs and full range of ventilation modes, including HFOV, HFJV and NAVA
Collaborate with senior company and system leadership across women's and children's services
Lead a team of 17 neonatologists and 25 neonatal advanced practice practitioners
Serve as liaison with Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital leadership
Recruit and mentor new hires
Support existing neonatal quality and safety programs
Establish neonatal fellowship program
Foster neonatal research program
Promote residency and nursing education and simulation
With the addition of NICU services, Pediatrix is expanding its on-site support with Memorial Healthcare System, which already includes these subspecialties:
