This is an OPEN CONTINUOUS ANNOUNCEMENT and will remain open until September 30, 2021. The initial cut-off date for referral of eligible applications will be March 20, 2021. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is one who engages in nursing care and practice which does not require full professional education, but requires the knowledge and skills represented by licensure as an LPN. The LPN is accountable for ensuring that the care they provide is safe and complies with medical center policies and procedures. The LPN, has the knowledge and skills necessary for concentrated effort and self-direction in carrying out complex practical nursing care for which the competency is documented annually on a competency checklist. The LPN completes assigned duties and responsibilities which involve performing non-standard and generalized practical nursing activities requiring broad work experience and demonstrates skill sufficient to resolve a range of nursing problems. The LPN works collaboratively as a member of a larger team and is proactive instituting care for a wide variety of patients with varying ages and states of health that will be examined and treated in the Specialty Clinics. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to collect objective measurements reflective of a patient's health status and bring those measurements/indicators that fall outside expected parameters to physicians and other medical providers. The LPN must adhere to Medical Center and Service level policies and procedures to provide the care needed and to identify each patient's requirements relative to his or her population-specific needs. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm. Overtime, including evenings, weekends and Federal Holidays, may be required. Financial Disclosure Report: Not required
