Encompass Health has announced plans to build a freestanding 40 bed comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation hospital in St. Augustine, FL. The hospital is expected to open in the first quarter of 2022. It will provide comprehensive rehabilitative services to patients overcoming a variety of debilitating illnesses and injuries such as stroke and other neurological disorders, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, amputations and complex orthopedic conditions.

We are seeking a full time PM&R Medical Director interested in building a practice and growing with the St. Augustine, FL community. High income potential on the beautiful beaches of Florida. Great weather year round for outdoor activities. Considered America's oldest city, St. Augustine is known for its Spanish colonial architecture and gorgeous sandy beaches. Convenient to Jacksonville, Orlando, and Daytona international airports.

PM&R INPATIENT JOB DESCRIPTION

• Expected patient load 15-20 patients
• Medical Director compensation for administrative duties
• Full Relocation
• Good subspecialty support
• Option to consult at local acute care hospitals
• Effective Marketing teams based at acute care hospitals

PRACTICE MODEL
 
PM&R Physician will establish a private practice to include a caseload of medically complex inpatient rehabilitation patients.  The Physiatrist will set up a relationship with an independent billing company and retain 100% of his/her own billing and collections.  Encompass Health hospitals are extremely busy with high patient volumes - Encompass Health has its own well-trained outreach teams that identify appropriate inpatient rehabilitation candidates from surrounding areas.
