Surgical Attendant Full Time Evenings

Summary

The Surgical Attendant performs direct and indirect patient care in the Perioperative setting and assists in the maintenance of a safe, clean environment working under the direction of charge nurse (RN) and OR staff.

Responsibilities

• The Surgical Attendant performs terminal cleaning of the operating room and prepares rooms for new patients.
• The Surgical Attendant cleans and re-makes patient stretchers and beds and responsible for assigned areas for restocking and cleanliness.
• Participates in OR suite turnovers between cases.
• Delivers specimens, labs, blood to and from OR.
• The Surgical Attendant transports patients as directed by a nurse.
• The Surgical Attendant follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment (PPE) as required per policy.
• All other duties as assigned.

Education

Required: High School diploma or GED.

Certifications

Required: BLS.
