Position Description: Government Affairs Internship The National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO), a national organization representing 3,000 local health departments has an opening for a Government Affairs Intern. This position will have an opportunity to work in policy and communications across public health issue areas including emergency preparedness, food safety, chronic disease prevention, infectious disease prevention and funding for local health departments. Hours: Negotiable and flexible between the hours of 8:00 am and 6:00 pm; at least 20 hours per week. The internship is unpaid. NACCHO will work with intern to facilitate academic credit. This internship is currently remote until NACCHO offices are re-opened. Nature of Work and Associated Work Duties: The intern will be responsible for supporting staff in government affairs projects.
