PSYCHOLOGY OPPORTUNITIES IN OREGON WINE COUNTRY – ROSEBURG, OR
The Roseburg VA Healthcare Center in Roseburg, OR, is seeking full-time board certified/board eligible Psychologist to join our Mental Health Team. The Psychologist will be an independently licensed provider with knowledge of behavioral medicine and the implementation and coordination of mental health care in both outpatient and inpatient settings. The Psychologist's primary duties will be psychological assessments, diagnostic evaluations, crises interventions, psychotherapy, and care management services and other clinical programs within the VA Healthcare system, community agencies, and other clinicians caring for our veterans; be responsible to one or more Behavioral Health programs either on the main campus or at outlying clinics associated with the Roseburg VA Healthcare Center, and may participate in Tele-psychology duties.
Clinical Staff Psychologist
Provide care to Veterans with mental health disorders as part of an integrated team of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, nurses, and clinical pharmacists. Psychologist participates in a full range of psychotherapeutic, diagnostic and training activities, performs assessments, level of care determinations, evidence-based individual and group psychotherapy as well as treatment planning and program development.
The Roseburg VA Medical Center (RVAMC) consists of one Veterans Health Administration (VHA) facility located in Roseburg, OR, and three outpatient clinics. The Roseburg campus consists of 200 acres and 32 buildings for the 62,000 veterans who reside in Central and Southern Oregon and Northern California. Services include outpatient primary care, outpatient mental health, some specialty care, substance abuse residential rehabilitation, Home-Based Primary Care (HBPC), HUD/VASH (VA Supported Housing), and Compensated Work Therapy (CWT) programs.
Benefits and Features
Expected Salary range for well qualified Psychologist will range from $120K to $141K (Lead), $105K to $131K (Staff) with consideration given to candidate's qualifications, credentials and experience; and may include up to $15,000 in Annual Performance Bonus. Selected candidate may be eligible to apply for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), and if approved, receive up to $200k in school loan repayment.

Roseburg is situated at the heart of the Hundred Valleys of the Umpqua in scenic, Southwestern Oregon. On Interstate 5, it is 67 miles south of the state's second largest city, Eugene, and 123 miles north of the California border. Traveling by State Highway 38/138 or 42, Roseburg is about 80 miles inland from the Pacific coastal communities Reedsport and Coos Bay. Highway 138 continues east from the city along the North Umpqua River. It is 79 miles to Diamond Lake at the summit of the Oregon Cascades and just 20 miles more to Crater Lake National Park. Excellent public schools and two 2-year community college are also an asset.

Near the Douglas County Fairgrounds, is the award-winning Douglas County Museum of History and Natural History. Spend hours exploring the yesteryears of Douglas County. Exhibits depict 8,000 years of Native American culture, pioneer history, and the natural history that makes the Umpqua Valley special.
