This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) Procedures department, located at the Greenville Health Care Center is directly responsible to the Nurse Manager and will be accountable for the provision of direct patient care and for the delivery of quality nursing care to a culturally diverse population with complex needs. Must possess knowledge and skills to effectively apply all aspects of the nursing process. The Registered Nurse for the Procedures department in Greenville Health Care Center will function as an integral part of a team performing all aspects of patient care procedures that include monitoring and sedating patients for Gastroenterology, Endoscopy and Gynecology cases. The RN will prepare patients and assist physicians with endoscopic procedures, endoscope maintenance and reprocessing, minor urological, podiatry and gynecological cases; room turnover, pre and post procedure patient education; telephone triage; and scheduling appointments for procedures. The RN will assess, triage, take histories and document conditions and concerns for patients presenting for procedures in person and via telephone. The clinical nurse will coordinate care through the health continuum. Patient/health education, health coaching and health promotion are integral functions of the role. This RN will coordinate screening and scheduling of appropriate procedural patients, pre- and post-procedural communication and documentation, and patient education. Work Schedule: Monday-Saturday, 8-hour tours between the hours of 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM. Financial Disclosure Report: Not required
