The Ultrasound Sonographer performs diagnostic ultrasound examinations for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician. The Ultrasound Sonographer performs routine and specific duties on a schedule or as dictated by the workload. The Ultrasound Sonographer assists in evaluation, coordinating, implementing and maintaining all new and existing ultrasound scanning policies and procedures. The Ultrasound Sonographer reports equipment problems to the Director of Imaging and contacts the service provider for prompt repairs. The Ultrasound Sonographer assists in the annual budget process. The Ultrasound Sonographer establishes and maintains good working relationships with the nursing staff and physicians.
Associate degree in Radiological Sciences or certificate from an AMA approved school. Registered by two or more of the following, the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, ARDMS, Echocardiography, Registered Vascular Technologist, Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer.
Additional Salary Information: $4,000 Bonus
