The Director of Infection Prevention ensures high quality, patient-centered care by developing and leading the Infection Prevention Program and outlining and supporting infection prevention goals and activities throughout Floyd's health system. The Director designs and carries out the annual Infection Prevention Plan and develops policies and procedures that support successful quality and patient safety outcomes and ongoing improvement in the delivery of healthcare to patients.
The qualified candidate will possess the following:
A. Education 1. Master's degree in related field required
B. Experience 1. Five years of experience in hospital infection prevention. Three years of experience in a management capacity. Advanced literacy in spreadsheet generation, graphics and word processing. Financial analysis skills.
C. Licensure/Certification 1. Registered Nurse license in the state of Georgia required 2. National certification in Infection Control required
