Bartlett Hospital is looking to add a Medical Laboratory Technician to our Molecular team!
Under general supervision of the Director the incumbent collects, documents, tests, and provides results of COVID19 molecular testing. This includes the performance of moderately complex testing procedures on a variety of samples to gather data that aids the care provider in diagnosing, treating or monitoring the treatment of COVID19 patients. At this level, the incumbent must be certified as a Medical Laboratory Technician with 2 years’ experience. This position is established to address COVID-19 testing and will not be assigned regular Bartlett lab work. This position’s primary work area is the new Molecular Lab Division.
Education: High School graduate or equivalent. Certifications: Medical Laboratory Technician from MT-ASC. Experience: Two (2) years of laboratory experience performing testing.

Originally known as St. Ann's Hospital, the hospital opened in 1886 and was operated by the Sisters of St. Ann until the 1960s. In 1965, the hospital's operations were turned over to the City and Borough of Juneau, and a new facility was built at the hospital's present location on Hospital Drive.
Bartlett Regional Hospital is licensed for a total of 57 inpatient beds and 16 residential substance-abuse treatment facility beds in the Rainforest Recovery Center. The hospital serves a 15,000-square-mile region in the northern part of Southeast Alaska. Approximately 55,000 people reside in our service area, with most communities inaccessible by road.
