The Registered Nurse is assigned to the Mental Health Residential Rehabilitation Program facility, also known as the Domiciliary. The facility is comprised of 64 beds incorporating 4 programs: PTSD Program through Veterans Intensive PTSD (VIP), Addiction Treatment Program, Back-to-work/Homeless Program and General Domiciliary Pain Program. The RN functions as a part of an interdisciplinary team and is accountable for direct care to a defined group of patients. Duties include, but are not limited to: Assumes responsibility for the coordination of care focused on patient transition through the continuum of care, patient and family education, patient self-management after discharge. Accountable for specific nursing duties such as administering medications, checking vital signs Participates in groups/teams in providing care to the patient May be assigned as preceptor to staff/trainees or charge nurse Work Schedule: One evening shift, Monday - Friday, 3:30pm to 12:00am, One night shift, Monday - Friday, 11:00pm to 8:00am, with rotating weekends Compressed/Flexible: Not eligible Telework: Not eligible Pay: Competitive salary, regular salary increases. Paid Time Off: Annual leave at the rate of eight (8) hours per biweekly pay period; Sick leave at the rate of four (4) hours per biweekly pay period; 11 paid Federal holidays per year. Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years' vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA.
