The Department of Ophthalmology at the Minneapolis Veterans Affairs Medical Center is seeking a special-skilled Ophthalmologist with a broad range of clinical skills including additional training in cornea and external disease for a full-time position providing both comprehensive ophthalmology and cornea specialty care. This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. The Department of Ophthalmology at the Minneapolis Veterans Affairs Medical Center is seeking a gifted Cornea-Comprehensive Ophthalmologist with a broad range of clinical skills including additional training in cornea and external disease for a full-time position providing both comprehensive ophthalmology and cornea specialty care . Applicants must have an M.D. or D.O, be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology, have fellowship or additional training in Cornea/ External Disease, and an interest and demonstrable skill in resident/fellow training to support our academic mission. The successful candidate should be able to perform a broad range of Ophthalmologic operative procedures and will be able to provide a recent operative case list for review. Clinical time would be spent treating a combination of comprehensive ophthalmology and cornea patients. The applicant must be eligible for Minnesota medical licensure. Education Debt Reduction Program (Student Loan Repayment): This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.
