This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application. Learn more This position is assigned to the Neuropsychology Program within the Mental Health Service. In addition to providing direct patient care, this neuropsychologist may also have collateral research and training duties. Duties include: -Provides a full range of neuropsychological and psychological assessment services and diagnosis mental disorders, particularly for patients with complex or unusually difficult conditions. -Provides assessment feedback and education to patients, family members, and significant others. -Provides consultation to professional staff within VA Medical Center at Memphis and to community providers, concerning clinical assessment findings, recommendations for diagnostic and treatment follow-up, and appropriate treatment plans for patients. -Provides comprehensive, evidence-based rehabilitative, vocational and life-adjustment interventions, including individual, family, and group psychotherapy. -Provides clinical supervision to psychometrists, psychology interns, and postdoctoral fellows in areas related to behavioral health and social services provision to attain goals and objectives of the Neuropsychology Program. -Complies with all CPRS documentation procedures, including timeliness standards for documentation and proper patient check out procedures (e.g., entering diagnostic and procedure codes). -Provision of clinical services through telehealth technology is considered a routine means of care delivery. -Assists the Neuropsychology Program Manager in the design, development, and implementation of Neuropsychology programs. Adheres to operational policies and procedures for the Neuropsychology program established by the Chief of Mental Health Service. Assists the Neuropsychology Program Manager in the execution of ongoing program evaluation and data-driven quality improvement projects to monitor the effectiveness of the clinical program. Provides clinical supervision and instruction for psychology interns and postdoctoral fellows rotating through the Neuropsychology Program. Involved in the supervision of interns and postdoctoral fellows on research projects, involving development of research questions, oversight of data analyses, and dissemination of research findings.
