Fort Myers, FL – Lee Health is seeking a transformative, dynamic operational physician leader to serve as the Chief Physician Executive, Oncology (CPE). Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer of Population Health & Physician Services, the CPE will oversee all services within the cancer service line and will work in a dyad partnership with the Vice President of Oncology. They will be responsible for the growth and advancement of a highly integrated cancer program across Lee Health, while fostering a culture that is focused on clinical excellence and care innovation.
The CPE will lead the continued development of a highly functional, cohesive service line ensuring outstanding quality, leading-edge care, high value services, establishment of clinical standards and benchmarks, and engagement of physicians, as well as clinical and support staff. Lee Health will be known for operating destination oncology services, a focus on patient care and high quality as guiding principles. They will establish and lead the execution of a strategic plan for the expansion of services, clinical trials and fostering a spirit of innovation in care delivery and multidisciplinary and inter-institutional collaboration.
Leading a diverse team, the CPE will have accountability for all aspects of cancer care, including operational and financial performance. They will work collaboratively with administrative and financial leaders to establish appropriate budgets for staffing and delivering all components of the clinical and research programs.
