Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), located in Boston, MA, is seeking their first Senior Director of Employee Experience & Equity. This key leader of the HR management team will work with members of MGH, Mass General Physicians Organization (MGPO) management, and Mass General Brigham (MGB) to establish supportive HR programs to advance the equity, diversity, and inclusion goals of their "United Against Racism" initiative. These goals include recruitment, retention, and employee engagement activities. Additionally, the Senior Director of Employee Experience and Equity will function as the MGH and MGPO key point of contact providing oversight of the "Know the Line Program," the comprehensive harassment, sexual harassment, and abusive conduct prevention and training initiative. This will drive achievement of goals that support a culture committed to ensuring a safe and respectful environment for employees, patients, and visitors that is intolerant of harassment and abusive conduct of any kind.
The Senior Director will report to the Senior Vice President, Human Resources for MGH and MGPO. The Senior Director will be able to develop and establish their own direct report team to include a Director of Diversity, Inclusion, and Engagement as well as a manager. The Senior Director, Employee Experience & Equity will collaborate with MGH, MGPO and MGB HR and DE&I department leaders, to ensure continuous alignment and coordination of related strategic goals and initiatives.
A master’s degree in HR, organizational development, business administration, public policy or administration or related subject is preferred but a bachelor’s degree with requisite experience is required.
A minimum of 8 to 10 years of progressive human resources, diversity/equity/inclusion leadership and work force development experience gained within sizable, complex provider organizations is desired.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in specialized area of Diversity & Inclusion, Organizational Development, Employee Engagement and Recognition experience is strongly preferred.
A human resource related certification is a plus
Understands the healthcare environment and issues relevant to challenges, priorities, and industry trends. Strong business acumen is required.
Working knowledge of diversity and equal employment principles, concepts, and methodology.
