The Clinical Information Systems/Anesthesia Record Keeper (CIS/ARK) Coordinator functions as a liaison among the Critical Care Clinical staff, OR staff, PACU staff, service ADPACs, and software vendors. The Coordinator is responsible for identifying and supporting computerization needs related to the critical care charting system, anesthesia recording keeping, ensuring accurate transfer of data, assisting with designing work screens and flow, developing reports and assisting with modifications. ·Utilizes vendor, CIS/ARK Coordinators throughout the VISN, VAHCS, OI&T, BioMed staff appropriately for problem solving and/or issues. ·Assists in the development, training, testing and implementation of system designs/functions. ·Customizes Electronic Health Record (EHR) computer capabilities to all patient care areas and user groups. ·Tests software/hardware before "live" use and repairs and/or reports dysfunctional aspects to vendor, VISN coordinating entities and/or OI&T/Biomed. ·Ensures proper functioning of the CIS and ARK by facilitating appropriate responses to changes with the system. ·Assist in the updates provided by the vendors. ·Instruct onboarding staff about functions/options in ICCA and provides training materials to existing staff when updates are implemented for all systems maintained. ·Evaluates on a routine basis, the critical care information system and data base to ensure high quality data entry and management practices. ·Verifies the proper functioning of the hardware and software of the information system. ·Develops/Generates reports for presentation to appropriate staff. ·Develops and maintains reference user manual. ·Collaborates with end users for requests to the vendor, VISN coordinating entities and/or OI&T/Biomed. ·Maintains CPRS Help Pager responsibilities. ·Assesses and/or completes "Your IT" tickets. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30am-1600. Telework: May be approved on an Ad Hoc basis Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
